Ulrike was a force to be reckoned with! She was a tough German girl, who scared the blank out of me when she was throwing the shotput. Everybody on the BHHS girls' varsity track team was small compared to other schools, but she brought the beef. The next time I saw her after school was at the 10 year reunion, and she had transformed herself from a rough and tumble girl into a spectacularly, beautiful and gracious woman. I do wish I kept in touch with her and I'm very sad to hear that she is gone and for so many years already. I would like to know why she passed so soon, if anybody knows.
