I found out she had passed a while ago, in 2006, from the same kind of cancer that Gilda Radner had. In fact they were in the same clinic, which is perfect, because I bet they would have been great friends. Melinda was such a dickens, my best friend for the two years I went to BHHS. She knew how to have fun. She turned me on to Gelsons market where we would go during lunch breaks to get string cheese for munching. She had a car so of course we had the most fun. I think that would be the word I would have to use to describe Melinda. I'm really grateful she took me under her wing when I showed up at the end of 10th grade.
