School Story

After graduating BHHS, I attended UCLA (undergraduate) and then the University of Maryland, College Park (graduate school) to study art history. I worked at the National Gallery of Art, DC in the Department of American Art before moving back to California and settling in San Francisco where I have lived for 30 years (arriving a week after the earthquake). I continued to work in the museum field as a Registrar at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. I enjoyed having such direct contact with the art and couriering pieces The rest of my career was spent as an assistant to the Chancellor and Nobel Laureate at UCSF. Now semi-retired, I enjoy what San Francisco has to offer. Living right outside the Presidio, I love taking long walks there. I'm a major film buff and attend lots of the film festivals here. I am involved with my synagogue, do volunteer work, and enjoy attending yoga classes. Learning remains important to me, so I attend amazing adult education classes at USF. And of course, I spend time with dear friends.

Happy Birthday! Hope your day is filled with joy. Hope all is well.
Question-do you remember hearing The Velvet Underground play in the auditorium in 1969? If so, can you comment? Thanks, Sharon

I have no recollection of The Doors being at BHHS. I would love to know when they were there. I just finished taking a course on The Doors.
